Palo Duro is a canyon system in the Texas Panhandle, near Amarillo. Reaching depths of 300 meters, and stretching for over a 100 kilometer long by 10 kilometer wide, this is the United States' second largest canyon after the Grand Canyon.

Although not quite as majestic, the colors and scenery are certainly reminiscent of the Grand Canyon.
