The Grand Canyon is a massive canyon that is located in its entirety in the US State of Arizona. Carved out by the Colorado River through a process taking millions of years (try to process that), it is a huge area going on for hundreds of miles.
The main parts of it frequented by tourists are the North and South Rim in the Grand Canyon National Park, of which the latter is notably more crowded than the former. At the western end of the canyon you will also find the Indian reservations of Havasupai and Hualapai. [Review by travelindicator]
