Toronto (Canada)

Toronto Travel Guide and Trip Resources

Toronto is a versatile place in all aspects. The largest city in Canada, located on its far south-eastern end, with 2.6 million people and so multicultural that its demographic compositions reads like a listing of the ethnic groups in the entire world. The city is renowned for its museums, shopping avenues, great food and nightlife scene, but that's not the most impressive... as outside of town lies Niagara Falls.

Within city limits, the CN Tower that dominates the Toronto skyline is probably the most famous sight. Go up here to get marvelous views over the city and Lake Ontaria, and possibly enjoy a meal at high altitude if you fancy it.

The Royal Ontario Museum and Art Gallery of Ontario are some of the cultural offerings, with the former being the largest art gallery in Canada and offering impressive exhibitions of the work of both European masters and Canada's best.

As with other larger cities in North America, exploring some of the "cultural" neighbourhoods here is really a feast for the eye: Chinatown, Little Italy, Little India, Koreatown, Little Poland, there's a place for everyone in Toronto, and it all comes together in what is a thoroughly enjoyable city to spend a city trip in.
