Dramatically Colourful Landscapes of a New Age Mecca

Kindred spirit of Grand Canyon

We knew this was going to be a tough place to give a fair yet brief overview for, as hinted towards by the unusual headline above. So we shall cover both aspects to this place in parts, the town with its surroundings and the new age movement who travel here like a spiritual Mecca.

The town is located in Arizona and holds within its region giant red earth towers, set alongside jagged valley canyons. The colours here are bountiful and beckon aspiring artists form near and far in attempt to capture on canvas the array of dramatic colours, shapes & tones of this landscape especially at dawn & dusk.

Now to the other worldly, Sedona has become an energy magnet to the new age spiritual movement gravitating to this 'sacred' place for guidance, spiritual balance and to explore the spiritual vortex that are said to form here by motion of spiralling energy. This gives an interesting and unique balance of touristic and alternative sites & experiences.

Also has some 100+ hiking tracks in the area as well for those wanting to get some dust on their boots. [Review by nikodonnell]
