Scilla (Italy)

Scilla Travel Guide and Trip Resources

Cinque Terre esque

If you're ask around about the top attractions in Calabria, chances are someone will tell you about Scilla. Situated right at the very toe of Italy's boot, this is one of those super lovely fishing village turned tourist destination where the scenery is the attraction itself.

Reached by either the A3 from Reggio or via an extremely narrow winding road, Scilla faces the strait of Messina and is set against surrounding hills that lead to the sea. Down there, the Chianalea di Scilla is the real attraction, easily competing with places like Cinque Terre in terms of picturesqueness. [Review by travelindicator]
