Beaches and celebrities

Zuma Beach and Westward Beach, hiking trails

Malibu is a legendary place. This long-stretched city to the north of Santa Monica and LA is known throughout the world from its many appearances in TV shows, music videos and movies. Two and a Half Men, Hannah Montana, Malibu Shores, and so on were all filmed here. It's from those shows that people know about Malibu's wide beaches and the hilly terrain (eventually leading into the Santa Monica Mountains) covered with big mansions and swimming pools behind it.

If you go here, there's no avoiding the beach. Zuma and Westward Beach are two famous ones and on a sunny day you will be sure to get a complete LA beach experience here (we are not going to spell it out for you, just think about Baywatch). If you want to surf, head to Surfrider Beach (Malibu Lagoon). The hills behind the beach makes for excellent hiking terrain to complete a day out, while if you do some shopping you may just walk into a celebrity or two. [Review by travelindicator]
