Beaches, castles and nightlife

Limassol (or Lemesos in Greek) is the second largest city of Cyprus, situated on the southern side of the island and facing the Mediterranean city. The city is home to a busy port and is known for its historic sights, of which the medieval Limassol Castle and the surrounding old town are the main draws. A bit further outside of town lies the equally appealing Kolossi Castle as well as the Kourion areas with an archaeological site and other sights of historic significance. Besides history, the town has quite a bustling nightlife and plenty of beaches (of varying quality). [Review by travelindicator]
