Sin City

This city in the Mojave Desert has a rep. Las Vegas, largest city of the US state of Nevada and famous for being a gambling, shopping and nightlife paradise is filled with craziness: shotgun weddings, Elvis impersonators, too many strip clubs to count on a few pairs of hands, roller coasters going *through* buildings and throngs of people coming there in search of exactly that craziness. Or, well, just to have a good time.

Things in Las Vegas center around the Strip. Filled from front to end with casino's - most of which have become household names: Caesar's Palace, MGM Grand, Mirage, Bellagio - that double as hotels, shopping malls. In front of many of these there are attractions like the fountain show at the Bellagio, running every 15 minutes in the evening, or Volcano @ The Mirage. In Vegas the action does not only happen inside.

At some point you will need to make your move inside and there a whole new world will open up for you. Go for a gondola ride at the Venetian, enjoy a buffet, a gamble, or a show. Cirque du Soleil or the burlesque Absinthe @ Caesars Palace are safe bets in that respect. [Review by travelindicator]
