Gold Coast (Australia)

Gold Coast Travel Guide and Trip Resources

Surfers Paradise

What's in a name? This is Gold Coast, Australia's sixth largest city, located in Queensland just to the south of Brisbane, and one of the country's top holiday destinations. Gold Coast's biggest draw is without debate Surfers Paradise, where you will find miles and miles of beaches, high-rises, pubs and nightlife as well as theme parks and water parks. Sounds overdeveloped? It sure is. Venture a bit further inland from the city however, and you will find the mountainous national parks of Lamington and Springbrook, consisting mostly of rainforest, but most famous for their rock formations and waterfalls.
