A perfectly planned city

Canberra (or in fact the Australian Capital Territory) came into existence after Australia achieved its independence and both Melbourne and Sydney would not have the other one taking the top (capital) spot. What you will find here is a perfectly planned city, plenty of politicians, as well national monuments and museums.

Inside the city lie such attractions as the impressive Australian War Memorial and National Gallery of Australia. Outside of town you will find plenty of great flora and fauna, national parks and all around great biking and walking trails. Head to the hilly Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve to come across kangaroos in the wild. [Review by travelindicator]
